One Day Detox Diet: Cleanse Your Body In 24 Hours

In the world we live in today, shortcuts and quick fixes have become a way of life. People have become so used to the fast pace of modern life that they seldom have the time or the patience to work for anything, even in losing weight.

Your next meal will be a lunch consisting of a couple of servings of vegetables, preferably uncooked, and a serving of whole grains. Make sure that you drink plenty of purified water and fresh fruit juices throughout the day.

During the one day detox diet, you should reduce if not completely eliminate your meat intake, as well as your consumption of dairy goods, white bread, saturated fats and anything that has artificial or processed ingredients. These foods all contain ingredients that will further clog your liver and other gastrointestinal organs and lead to weight gain as well as digestion problems.

Although the one day detox diet has been proven effective in eliminating your body’s toxins, its effects are not very long-lasting especially if you revert to your old eating habits right after you finish the diet. In order to boost the effects of the one day detox diet, you should gradually alter your daily menu and incorporate more fresh fruits and vegetables into your meals. You must also reduce alcohol consumption and increase water intake.

The one day detox diet is not really designed to make you lose weight, but if you can do it regularly, say once or twice a month, it will keep your digestive system working perfectly which is an essential element in effective weight loss.
