Aqua Detox - A Revolutionary Way to Cleanse Your Body Of Toxins

There’s a relatively new way of quickly and safely removing harmful toxins from your body – the Aqua Detox system. It has been in commercial use in the U.K. since 2002, but research in the use of electrical frequencies to treat diseases has been looked into since the first half of the 20th century.

Aqua Detox is a form of alternative health treatment and proponents claim that it would not interfere with the medications you are currently on, as long as the instructions for its use are followed.

Why do we need to detoxify?

The main thrust behind almost all detoxification programs is due to the fact that as technology progresses, there are less and less places where the environment remains truly pristine. We are often forced to reside in highly urbanized areas that are almost always polluted and are characterized by very stressful situations.

Our bodies are also bombarded with the debilitating effects of stress. Studies have shown that stress not only affects us mentally and emotionally, but also physically. When we are stressed out – and this is a growing problem because lifestyles are becoming more and more hectic – various chemicals are produced in our bodies as by-products of the stress.

We eat highly processed foods, making our organ work overtime to get rid of the harmful substances in them. The food we eat today are major sources of free radicals. These are unstable molecules which cannot be properly identified and processed by our body. Our cells, therefore, eventually give up their ions to these free radicals, making them unstable and weak.

When this happens to our cells, they soon degenerate, break down, or even mutate. Aqua Detox aims to prevent the breaking down of healthy cells by attracting back the ions that these cells have given up to the free radicals, and in the process, returning balance to the system.

How does aqua detox work?

The literature states that the system – particularly a foot bath that uses a cylindrical apparatus – draws the body’s toxins out through the soles of the feet, where there are approximately “2000 pores.” The apparatus, they say, produces a frequency of negative and positive ions which produce an effect throughout the body, revitalizing cellular energy.

This process, aside from making the cells more efficient, also releases the toxins that may have built up inside them; and the release, according to those promoting Aqua Detox, has something to do with the foot bath’s color change. Promoters of Aqua Detox say that as millions of ions enter the body, the tissue acid wastes are neutralized and that the color change in the water is caused by the interaction of the metal in the array, the toxins in the water and from the body, and the ionization of the current flow.

On the other hand, a test has been conducted by Ben Goldacre, a writer for the British online newspaper, Guardian Unlimited, to disprove this explanation about the color change in Aqua Detox. In his experiment, he used a car battery attached to two metal nails which he promptly immersed in a saline solution. The water expectedly changed color due to increased iron content brought about by the corrosion of the electrodes.

He also asked a colleague to immerse his feet in the water for a detox treatment, and the water color changed too, but his study showed that there was a change regardless of whether feet were immersed in the solution or not.

Alternative treatments such as Aqua Detox may possibly be valid, considering that many people who have undergone the treatment claim to feel revitalized and experience a sense of well-being. However, it’s also important to read everything you can about the treatment prior to trying it out yourself.

Aqua Detox can be relevant to people who are wary of invasive treatments and who want natural, harmless therapies for a change. Each session costs about 15 to 30 pounds, or about US$58, and you may be asked to return for follow-up sessions. Alternatively, if you find that the treatment works for you, you can purchase your own kit for upwards of US$2000.
