I took my first shot Oct. 5th, and now I am having the worst period of my life (and I’ve had a couple of decades of experience). Scary heavy bleeding, and cramps that made me cry, and I usually have a very high tolerance for pain. I’m depressed, fatigued, YUCK! I’m not taking another course of this. It’s terrible! Besides the weight gain, which is obviously something no one wants, I feel like I’m experiencing all of the negative side effects. I should have researched this more before I agreed to it. It was strongly suggested to me instead of the pill because of my increased risk for heart disease and stroke.

Ive taken two depo shots and have had weight gain. I am desperate to get the drug out of my system. Are you sure thats all i need to rid myself of it? or is there something else i need to take??

I had 4 depo shots, the biggest mistake of my life. I have experienced every side effect possible. I need to detox and rid this poison from my body. I have fibroids, which is why my doctor recommended the shot. It just made a bad situation worse. I am in nursing school the bleeding never stopped. I am in pain and sick all the time. I am considering pulling out of nursing school. Biggest mistake ever…

I had 3 shots I guess and I started in March of 2008 and then I had a constant spotting/ bleeding till December 2008. I bleed or spotted, no joke, the entire time on depo. So then I began to noticed extreme weight gain in September and became very upset when everyone was being asked if I was pregnant. I had gained 30lds from September to December and I am now off and on Orthrao Evra and I want to just have a period again first. So if I just continue on water and exercise I should be good?
